The Fallen Outdoors (TFO) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to organizing outdoor adventures such as hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping for Veterans, active-duty service members, and Gold Star families. Founded in 2009 by three soldiers during their deployment in Afghanistan, The Fallen Outdoors works with service members from every generation and from all branches of the military to create meaningful connections and introduce them to lifelong outdoor pursuits.

The Fallen Outdoors organizes a wide range of outdoor activities including year-round hunting and fishing trips for species like salmon, elk, deer, and waterfowl, as well as hiking and camping adventures. Signature events like Operation Salmon and the American Lake Annual Trout Event provide unique opportunities for camaraderie and relaxation. With thousands of trips conducted annually across the United States, these programs not only offer Veterans therapeutic outdoor experiences but also help them build lasting connections with fellow service members and the community.
